GRIP Parent Supporting Parent

Whitaker School parents were participating in OC GRIP PSP (Parent Supporting Parents) today. GRIP touched upon the partnership between the City of Buena Park, BP Police Department, Whitaker School, and OC District Attorney’s Office. Parents were informed of how they can support their child each day at home and at school. We thank the parents who came out to this informative meeting.

OCDE, OC United Way and Whitaker Partnership

OCDE Health Services, Orange County United Way, BPSD, and Whitaker School has been given OCDE and OC United Way Healthy Schools Initiative Grant for the 2017-2018 school year! OCDE will be providing Whitaker School with training, technical assistance, and resources to implement the district wellness policy to students and parents, increase access to physical activity in the afterschool program, and increase parent involvement in our district’s wellness efforts.
